Monday-We will review Chapter 6 in preparation for a test. We will then watch a video about Ben Franklin. Test will be given Tuesday.
Tuesday-We will test on Chapter 6. Students will be given time in class. to read pp. 200-204. Students will began work on p. 204 1-6.
Wednesday-We will discuss the timeline and read the pictures pp. 198-199. We will examine the Articles of Confedreation and why they failed. We will also review the process for admitting new states. Students will finish and turn in p. 204 1-6.
Thursday-We will discuss the importance of Shays Rebellion and the Constitutional Convention. We will examine some of the famous people that attended the convention.
Friday-We will explore the major compromises of the convention with special emphasis on the Great Compromise. Students will begin work on p. 210 1-5.

Monday-We will discuss Saratoga as the turning poin t of the Revolutionary War and the hardships of Valley Forge. Students will finish in class bullets pp. 183-185.
Tuesday-We will examine section 4 pp. 186-189. We will take a close look at the role played by women and African-Americans in the war. We will also take a look at frontier fighting and fighting at sea. Students will do p. 195 1-6. They will finish work at home.
Wednesday-We will examine how the patriots won the war in the South with special focus on Yorktown.
Thursday-We discuss the results of the war and why America won. We will review for a test on Chapter 6.
Friday-Test on Chapter 6. I will give students study time before test.

Monday-We will discuss the Declaration of Independence and what led to the final break with Britain. We will review the different sections of the Declaration. pp. 173-176. Students will do p. 176 1-5
Tuesday-We will watch a film about the Revolutionary War. We will also start our discussion about War in the Middle States. pp. 181-185. Students will do workbook page 40.
Wednesday-We will finish our discusion of War in the Middle States. Students will answer questions 3-5 on p. 185.
Thursday-Students will do bullets on pp. 186-189 in the textbook. They will work in pairs for this exercise. They will complete workbook p. 41 for homework.
Friday-We will review the role played by Women and African-Americans in the War.
Monday-We will discuss the early battles of the war and the advantages and disadvantages of the Patriots and the British. pp. 168-171. Students need to finsih and turn in p. 171.1-5.
Tuesday-We will finish section one pp. 168-171. We will also watch a film about the Revolutionary War.

Thursday-We will discuss the early events of the war. We will review advantages of both sides and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Students will do p. 171 1-5.
Friday-We will examine section 2 focusing on the Declaration of Independence.
Monday-In periods one and two we will have Spanish and time remaining we will continue our discussion of events leading to Revolutionary War. pp. 150-153. Periods 3 and 4 will do a pre-test as a part of TCAP preparation.
Tuesday-Periods one and two will do TCAP preparation. All periods will discuss the Road to Protest. pp. 155-159. The students will do p. 160 1-5.
Wednesday-We will finish the Road To Protest placing emphasis on Lexington and Concord.
Thursday-We will review Chapter 5 for a test Friday. Students will do questions 1-15 p. 162.
Friday-Test will be given on Chapter 5. Any remaining time students will read pp. 167-171
Monday-We will discuss the causes of The French and Indian War. We will also examine the role played by Native Americans in the war.pp. 140-143. Students will begin working on bullets covering pages 142-145.
Tuesday-We will discuss the major battles and people that shaped the outcome of the war. Students will finish and turn in bullets.
Wednesday-We will introduce section two of Chapter 5. Students will have class time to do questions created by the teacher using the book. Questions will cover pp. 146-150.
Thursday-We will examine how taxation led to serious problems between England and her 13 colonies. We will take a close look at the Stamp Act and methods used by the colonies to protest. Students will finish and turn in board questions.
Friday-We will discuss the Townshend Acts and the Boston Massacre. We will also take a look at The Boston Tea Party and how it affected the colonies. We will do a creative writing exercise during class.
Monday-We will discuss the battles and outcome of the French and Indian War. Students will finish summary covering pp. 142-145.
Tuesday-We will examine how issues of taxation led to trouble between England and her Colonies. pp. 146-153.
Wednesday-We will finish our discussion of pp. 146-153. Students will be allowed class time to do questions 1-6 p. 153. They can finish as homework.
Thursday-We will examine how protest turned to revolution. pp. 155-160. Students will start an art-history project.
Friday-We will review the entire chapter.
Monday-We will read the timeline and introduce the new chapter about Crisis in the Colonies. We will review both pictures and timeline pp. 138-139. Students will be allowed time to finish essay started Friday in class. Students will began answering questions 1-5 on p. 145.
Tuesday-Students will be tested over Chapter 4. They will then read pp. 140-145 and finish questions 1-6p. 145. We will also select some students to read essays aloud.
Wednesday-We will discuss section one of Chapter 5. We will examine the events leading to the French and Indian War and early British defeats. We will also discuss how the tide of battle swung to the English.
Thursday-We will finish Chapter One. We will emhpasis the results of the war. Students will began work on teacher made ditto of questions covering pp. 146-153.
Friday-We will examine the events that will eventually lead to the Revolutinary War. We will discus how and why the colonies resisted British efforts to tax. Students will finish ditto sheet of questions.
Monday-Students will finish worksheet covering pp. 120-123. We will discuss self-government in the 13 English Colonies.
Tuesday-We will examine Life in the English Colonies. pp. 125-130. Students will do questions 1-6 p. 130 and finish for homework.
Wednesday-We will focus our discussion on Ben Franklin and his fole in Colonial Society. We will also review Chapter 4 in preparation for a test.
Thursday-We will test on Chapter 4. After testing students will read pp. 140-145 and do questions p. 145 1-6
Friday-We will do an art exercise related to Chapter4. We will also dicuss the events leading to the French and Indian War. pp. 140-145.
