Monday-We will examine section 5-Chapter 17-The War Ends. We will discuss the events and battles that ended the Civil War. We will also examine why the Civil War is considered a turning point of American History.  pp. 505-510. spi L3.  Each student will be given a review sheet to prepare for Thursday’s test,

Tuesday-We will review the Civil War chapter and students will do a creative exercise to close the chapter.

Wednesday-Library Day for all classes.

Thursday-Test on Chapter 17 the Civil War.  Time remaining students can read pp. 514-519.

Friday-We will introduce Chapter 18 by reading the timeline and discussing the pictures pages 514-515.  We will review the problems faced by the South after Reconstruction. spi  L3
