Monday- We will review pp. 50-73 in preparation for a quiz on Tuesday. We will discuss. Balboa and Magellan and the role they played in helping to build the Spanish Empire. We will also examine how the European and Native American culture influenced each other. Study for quiz for homework.
Tuesday-We will quiz on pp. 50-73. After quiz we will start our discussion of how Spain built a great New World Empire. pp. 74-80. Students will do p. 80 1-6 and finish it for homework.
Wednesday-We will finish exploring pp. 74-80. We will examine Life in New Spain. Students will do a ditto sheet of questions in preparation for covering pp. 81-86. Turn in ditto on Thursday.
Thursday-We will examine the Colonizing of America. pp.81-86. Each students will pick a creative writing exercise from 5 topics. They will write on only one.
Friday-Students will do pp. 25-27 in Social Studies Workbook.
